Abstract
Research into the optimum values of room acoustic parameters and the need to provide different acoustic solutions for events of different types have led to the construction of multifunctional halls with variable acoustic conditions. This study presents the results of objective parameter measurements in rooms equipped with acoustic banners or curtains. The measurements were carried out according to ISO338-1/2 standards. The room characteristics with and without banners or curtains were analyzed to study their influence on the acoustic parameters. The results of the measurements showed that changes in the parameter values when using curtains with a relatively small area placed at the back of the stage did not significantly change the acoustic parameters of the concert halls. Significantly larger differences in parameter values were measured in halls where acoustic banners were installed in the auditorium. Changes in parameter values with sound absorbing banners allow for different acoustic conditions.
