In the above article, the last line of the conclusion reads, “This latter characterization will prove to be pertinent as we now know that another polyomavirus, cytomegalovirus, has been implicated in Merkel cell carcinoma.” It should instead read, “This latter characterization will prove to be pertinent as we now know that another polyomavirus, Merkel cell virus, has been implicated in Merkel cell carcinoma.”
