Abstract
Glass fiber insulant is a medium which can be deformed when loaded. Moisture transfer can occur in it. An experimental installation has been de signed in order to determine the water content and the deformation. The basic idea is the principle of attenuation of two radioactive emissions As a first approach, the measures have been carried out with media held rigidly. They show how the fiber di ameter and nominal density act upon the coefficients of moisture transfer and the properties of capillarity of glass fiber insulant
