Experimental results from an investigation of moisture transport and accumula tion in cellulose insulation, in the presence of a thermal gradient, are reported. These results are compared, qualitatively, with the results obtained on glass-fibre insulation from earlier investigations. The comparison reveals that an appreciable quantity of moisture is transported through cellulose via condensed phase flow, in the presence of thermal gradients.
