Abstract
By defining the task of food service management in terms of its content and complexity, and analyzing the role that behavior modeling plays in experiential learning, this article ad dresses the "how" and "why" questions regarding the effectiveness of experiential learn ing. Alumni of a hospitality program were surveyed regarding a required, experiential res taurant management course. The data supply evidence that experiential learning with behavior modeling provides learners with managerial skills they require after graduation.
