Abstract
This article reports the findings from the early stages of a research project. The preliminary study was designed to examine the extent to which the dimension of personality is ade quately considered in the vocational management education process. Data are analyzed from a pilot sample of students and managers in the Czech Republic, using the 16PF5 in strument. The research considers the importance of personality traits in the learning pro cess. On the basis of the results, which indicate the need for a review of the current hospital ity management education provision, advice is given to assist potential management trainees and recommendations are made for hospitality educators.
