Abstract

I am here to report an upcoming “new normal” for Int J Toxicol access!
Starting with the first issue of Int J Toxicol in 2025, our publisher Sage will no longer print Int J Toxicol, so we will access each issue of the journal online. It’s easy, and the decision makes a lot of environmental and financial sense. And for those of you (like myself!) who wonder what to do with all of those printed copies of the Journal, this issue goes away!
To access articles from the current or past issues of Int J Toxicol, go to the “Journal” tab on the ACT website and login as an ACT member. Upon navigating to the site, you will find links to the current issue of the Journal, as well as past issues, in the upper right of the screen. The current and past issues of the CIR Supplements are also accessible here. You will also see links to “OnlineFirst” articles, which are recently accepted papers that have not yet been assigned to an issue (summarized in the screenshot below).
Do you want to be notified when individual articles are published online, rather than waiting for the entire issue to be published? To do this, sign into the Journal from the ACT website, and scroll down a bit further and, also on the right side of the screen, you’ll see an opportunity to sign up for email alerts so that you are among the first to know when a new paper is published online. By doing this, you will also receive electronic Table of Contents (eTOC) alerts of new full issues as they are published. Look for the screen below to sign up!
I have compiled a PowerPoint presentation (not narrated, just lots of arrows to guide you); it is available as a Supplemental file to this Note. In addition, if you attend the ACT annual meeting in November, 2024, I will spend some time at the ACT booth to help with online Journal access or email alerts.
Best wishes as we finish up 2024 and get a fresh start in 2025!
