Abstract

Greetings!
I hope that spring is making a much-awaited and welcome appearance for everyone, especially those who had a cold, windy, excessively wet, super-snowy, or otherwise unpleasant winter!
I want to thank everyone who took time to nominate papers for the 2018 Best Paper award. We could always use more nominations, but the Publications Committee and I welcome those nominations that we did receive.
I would also like to share some wonderful publicity for International Journal of Toxicology, courtesy of our publisher SAGE. In early February, in recognition of World Cancer Day, SAGE published a microsite that featured papers published in its journals on all aspects of cancer research. I was very pleased that one of our papers was featured:
Prell RA, Halpern WG, Rao GK. Perspective on a modified developmental and reproductive toxicity testing strategy for cancer immunotherapy. Int J Toxicol. 2016;35(3):263-273.
To access the microsite and see this and other featured papers, go to https://journals.sagepub.com/cancer_research; the paper by Prell et al can be found in the Immunotherapy & Emerging Treatments section of the microsite.
Finally, I would like to provide a sneak peek of our next issue. Our June 2019 issue of International Journal of Toxicology will feature 2 session overview articles, based on symposia presented at the 2018 American College of Toxicology annual meeting. I encourage those individuals who are preparing for their sessions at the upcoming 2019 to consider writing up a summary of their session, whether a continuing education course or a symposium. In fact, writing a manuscript in parallel with slide preparation would be very efficient use of time, and at the end of the 2019 annual meeting, session chairs would have both a successful session behind him/her and a manuscript in-hand!
As always, I welcome your comments and input, and please keep the excellent manuscripts coming!
Microsite-recognized authors Drs Rodney Prell, Wendy Halpern, and Gautham Rao.
