The project was a collaboration of World Education, Inc. and the National Christian Council of Kenya. It was based at Tototo Home Industries, in Mombasa which serves the coastal area. The Project Director for NCCK was Elvina Mutua, Director of Tototo. The Principal Investigator for World Education was Catherine Crone, Director of the Technical Services Unit. The Tototo-Kilemba Project was part of a larger effort that included the Phlippine Rural Reconsruction movement.
