Abstract
Autism is a developmental disability that affects a broad range of behaviors in an individual. Educators and other professionals in the field continue to examine various approaches in attempts to identify those that are effective with individuals who have autism. An approach that is new to the United States and is currently in operation is known as Giant Steps-St. Louis. The purpose of this article is to describe the Giant Steps-St. Louis program by presenting data collected during its first year of evaluation.
