From Data to Information: Management Tools for Home Health Care Clinical Directors

Abstract

This article provides home health care clinical directors with tools to discharge their responsibilities for data and information management and to lead their agencies to develop and maintain sound data and information. The article offers (1) a data and information model to provide a common framework; (2) a step-by-step method to analyze an agency's data and information systematically and rigorously; and (3) insight into nine critical success factors for converting data into information, with recommended management action for each.
