With the growing “gray” population more individuals run the risk of suffering from cognitive impairment. The aging process and genetic predisposition are risk factors that if superimposed onto poor lifestyle behaviors can compound neurodegeneration. Risk factors are discussed along with preventive measures one can take to maintain brain health.
