Revisiting contorted aeolotropy: In commemoration of the birth centenary of Walter Noll (1925-2017)

Abstract

The constitutive approach to continuous distributions of defects, pioneered by Walter Noll six decades ago, is revisited within the context of contorted aeolotropic crystalline bodies having a not necessarily stress-free configuration.
