Abstract
This article is an ethnographic account of my dinner with royalty, university administrators, faculty, and my husband following my Distinguished Miegunyah Lecture at the University of Melbourne. The account displays the intersection of social class hierarchies with university ones and explores cultural differences regarding disabilities, alcohol consumption, political conversation, and love.
