Abstract
This article tells the story of the death of the author’s father in 2003.Itrecounts tales of his life, his last days, and his funeral. Among other things, it may be a story of loss, of disability, of illness, of families, of masculinity, and of Englishness. Central, however, is a relationship between a father and a son.
