Finite strip analysis is used for evaluation of natural frequencies and modes of symmetrical, cylindrical honeycomb panels. First, the strip element matrices are given. The convergence of high-order natural frequencies versus strip division and the constraint conditions at the straight ends are discussed in detail. It is found that some natural frequencies predicted are independent of the strip division, and the finite strip analysis always gives one more frequencies than do the analytical solutions. All of these problems are discussed in detail.
