Abstract
The International Forum of Young Scientists met just prior to the World Conference on Science as one of the conference satellite events, and a few of the young scientists participated in the conference itself. Among other things, the young scientists petitioned for the establishment of the International Forum of Young Scientists (IFYS) as a permanent structure supported by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
