Abstract
Information processes are part of a policymaking process. Information is one of the main bases for power and influence. The way in which actors build up and use information codetermines their power and influence in the policymaking process. The policymaking concerning the largest Dutch public works scheme, the Delta plan for protection against the sea, is a striking example how information is used and abused for building up a position of power and for influencing the decision making.
