Abstract
Nearly ten thousand scientists, engineers, policymakers, journalists, and others interested in science convened in Washington, D.C., February17to 21,2005, for the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The meeting, which focused on the intersection of science and society, included plenary lectures, symposia, an exhibition, and family science days, among other activities.
