Abstract
The relationship of gender, educational level, and past occupation to the Verbal, Performance, and Full Scale IQs was evaluated for a Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R) old-age normative sample. Gender differences did not meaningfully influence the WAIS-R scores of persons 75 years of age and older, but differences due to education and past occupation were marked.
