This paper reviews the selection of the original HRAF "probability
sample" of sixty cultural units and the status of their respective data re
trieval files. It presents a detailed description of the sampling procedure
now being used for selecting an additional sixty cultural units, and a report
on the status of the respective files developed thus far. Supporting manuals
and computer programs are noted briefly.
