This letter is an invited response to Waldegrave and Tamasese's (1994) "Just Therapy" article. Daniel Fullmer and Janet Ishikawa were asked to describe the successful form of family therapy they conduct in Hawaii and to indicate whether it is different from the New Zealanders' approach.
