Abstract
Samuel Templeman Gladding has established himself as a creative voice and a pillar in the field of marriage, couple, and family (MCF) counseling. In doing so, Dr. Gladding has served the counseling profession, most notably in the specialty of MCF counseling, in a variety of inspiring and innovative ways. The purpose of this article is to summarize the significance of Dr. Gladding’s continuing legacy in the field of MCF counseling by reviewing his many contributions to the profession and by sharing his responses from a recently conducted interview exploring his perspectives on historical and contemporary issues affecting the profession of MCF counseling.
