A Linguistic “Asking,Promising,Asserting,and Declaring” Couples’ Communication Activity

Abstract

The article identifies and defines four basic “requesting, promising, asserting, and declaring” linguistic couples’ communication acts. A couple’s assessment and an application activity based on the four communication acts are presented as a method of improving relationships.
