Abstract
John Barclay’s Paul and the Gift represents a significant advance in pauline studies. By focusing on the variable ways in which Paul and his contemporaries thought about grace and gift, Barclay is able to point scholars in several promising directions. This review both appreciates these advances and offers some questions for further conversation.
