Abstract
This article presents the author’s viewpoint on how innovations in information technology, mainly in the area of decision support systems, during the past 5 years have made possible an increase in the use of business gaming as a context for the study of collaborative strategic decision making. To help explain this opinion, the case of group support for a plant location decision is discussed. Some closing remarks on how the author’s perspective has changed over the past 5 years are provided.
