Group behavioral issues from past space missions and simulations such as the Skylab Medi cal Experiments Altitude Test, Skylab missions, and Shuttle Spacelab I mission are reviewed. Recommendations for future flights are made about commandership, crew selection, and ground-crew communications. Pre- and in-flight behavioral countermeasures are suggested for crew isolation, mission control stress, groupthink, and interpersonal conflict.
