Abstract
By using a modelization based on the minimization of appropriate total energy functionals, we have realized numerical simulations of various effects, which appear in ferromagnetic or magnetostrictive materials at a microscopic scale. In particular, we have obtained a good approximation of hysteresis curves, magnetic domains, and interactions between magnetizations and deformations. This article emphasizes more specifically the behavior of the magnetic field inside of the walls, the motion of the walls under an evoluting external magnetic field, and the effect of impurities on this motion of the walls.
