Abstract
The primary purpose of the current project was a three and one-half year retrospective evaluation of the status of restrictive behavior programs in a state residential facility for persons with mental retardation. This project was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of behavior programs in promoting and maintaining relatively long-term behavior change, in addition to briefly reviewing medication changes. Due to the naturalistic setting in which the data were collected, social validation measures were used to address the clinical significance of client behavior change.
