Abstract
Green human resource management is a vital organizational strategy that fosters growth. Despite the rising scholarly interest in studying green human resource management (GHRM), few studies have examined its impact on pro-environment employees’ behaviour and attitudes in mitigating environmental footprint and enhancing business sustainability. Hence, to address this research gap, this study extended the scope of green research by examining the impact of GHRM on green creativity (GC) and organizational citizenship behaviour towards environment (OCBE), focusing on the mediating role of GWE. Three hundred and ten employees working in the Brazilian manufacturing industry were surveyed. The statistical evaluation was performed by using structural equation modelling. The results suggest that the mediating effect of GWE improves the employee’s GC and OCBE. The current research findings are essential for developing HR strategies to achieve results and promote environmental protection and sustainability.
