Retraction notice: “Long noncoding RNA SNHG14 regulates ox-LDL-induced atherosclerosis cell proliferation and apoptosis by targeting miR-186-5p/WIPF2 axis”

At the request of Sage Publishing, the following article has been retracted:

Sage was contacted by the authors of this article requesting a retraction, as they were unable to reproduce the results of this study. Upon investigating the matter, Sage Publishing was made aware of a PubPeer post discussing the figures in the article. The concerns are:

• Figure 4C, U937panel PCDA row appears highly similar to Figure 5E SW780 panel CDK2 row in Huo et al. ¹

• Figure 4C, U937 panelCyclin A1 row appears highly similar to Figure 5E SW780 panel Cyclin A1 row in Huo et al. ¹

The authors have explained that after receiving our questions, they discovered Western blot experiments in Figure 4 were completed by a biotechnology company.

The authors have provided images of Figure 4C, but they do not meet our standards of raw, unedited, originally captured images.

Due to the concerns surrounding the images and the data in the article, and that part of the research was undertaken by a third party, the Journal Editor retracts this article.

The authors agree to the retraction.
