Abstract
Abstract
A method for combining black-box non-linear models and sliding mode control schemes is presented. It is demonstrated that the advantages of the sliding mode control technique are maintained. In addition, the effects of parametric uncertainty and unmatched disturbances are minimized through the use of a fuzzy model. Two fuzzy model-based sliding mode control topologies are developed from the theory and simulation results demonstrate the usefulness of this approach.
