Abstract
Green manufacturing technology refers to the modern manufacturing mode that takes environmental impact and resource efficiency into consideration under the premise of ensuring the functional quality cost of products. Green cutting technology is a critical component of green manufacturing, which aims to reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution in the cutting process by improving the cutting process tool design and the use of cutting fluid. This paper reviews developments in several green cutting technologies for conventional machining, including gas cooled cutting, ultra-low-temperature cooling cutting, and vegetable oils cooling cutting, internally-cooled cutting tools cutting, surface-textured cutting tools cutting, and hybrid cooling cutting. The results from the above several green machining methods were summarized and analyzed. Finally, the research status of the above green machining methods was objectively evaluated. This paper also puts forward a few suggestions and trends for the future direction of green machining to better realize green machining and offer some references.
