Abstract
The conformational rigidity parameters of some poly(phenylquinoxaline-imide)s and poly (phenylquinoxaline-imide-amide)s containing dimethylsilane units were calculated by a Monte Carlo method with allowance for hindered rotation. Several physical properties such as solubility, glass transition temperature, initial decomposition temperature and dielectric constant are discussed in relation to the structure of the polymers and the rigidity of their chains.
