Abstract
Formaldehyde resin at various molar ratios of monomers (pNP/CHx/AM/pF) under acid catalysis has been obtained. The resultant resins were reacted with a large excess of epichlorohydrin and transformed in multifunctional epoxy resins. The multifunctional maleimide resins were obtained by reaction of multifunctional epoxy resins in the presence of triethylamine with carboxy phenyl maleimide. These resins were characterized by 1H-NMR spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Thermal properties of these resins were also investigated.
