Abstract
The challenge-based learning approach has increasingly been recognized as an effective method for strengthening entrepreneurial education; however, its conceptual framework requires further development in response to evolving societal challenges and market trends. This study aims to expand the CBL framework in entrepreneurship education by developing a structured system of educational modules and identifying key support elements that foster the development of students’ applied entrepreneurial competencies. The study is based on a combination of desk research and empirical investigation. A literature review was conducted to examine existing theoretical approaches to CBL in entrepreneurship education. In-depth interviews were carried out with experts applying challenge-based, hands-on and work-integrated learning approaches in universities in Kazakhstan and Lithuania. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The findings identify key factors shaping entrepreneurship education programs and propose a system of interconnected educational modules grounded in the CBL approach. The study also systematizes relevant learning formats and identifies organizational and resource-related support elements necessary for effective implementation. The research contributes to the advancement of the CBL framework by integrating its components into a unified model aligned with industry needs and provides practical recommendations for educators and researchers.
