Abstract
The geriatric population continues to be the fastest growing segment of our society. The behavioral characteristics and particular needs of senior citizens require special considerations by health professionais. Pharmacists need to take an increasingly active role in providing more comprehensive pharmacy care; considerably more than just the delivery of medication. Our total commitment must be to enhance the quality of life for our older patients.
