Early on, Martha E. Rogers called for innovative new research methods unique to the unitary worldview introduced by her science of unitary human beings. This column provides a critique of two qualitative research methods crafted specifically for this science, introduced by Judith T. Carboni and Howard K. Butcher. The critique follows the framework of ontology, epistemology, and methodology according to Parse (2001).
