The current transition from the nursing process to the clinical judgment model in nursing education is an opportunity to regenerate the original nursing process in a significant way. This article proposes to enhance the conceptual rigor of the nursing process by integrating nursing conceptual knowledge throughout its steps. The resulting Nursing Process 2.0 is a framework that supports critical thinking skills that underlie the clinical judgment model from a grounding in nursing conceptual knowledge.
