Abstract
A new age of healthcare has dawned with reliance upon digital technology for obtaining answers to complex health issues. Technology offers problem-solving applications for implementation of healthcare delivery that remains too unsafe, unreliable, unsatisfying, and expensive. The author offers insights into the ethics and implications of the healthcare providers’ dependence on digital technology. She further suggests possibilities for the utilization of technology from a nursing theoretical perspective that honors the importance of human discovery and the expansion of disciplinary theoretical knowledge for future professional nurse practice.
