Abstract
In this study, the mechanical properties and failure behavior of multilayer knitted carbon-fiber-reinforced polyamide 12 were investigated. In the first part, the influence of the number of stacked knit layers in composites containing 2 to 8 knit double layers were tested in the wale direction. It was found that the thickness correlated linearly with the number of knit double layers in the composite.
