Abstract
A cooperative field-based doctoral program between a college and a university is described. Policies related to selection of faculty, organization of the program, residency, course offerings, internship, and other relevant subjects are described. The article suggests that it may be possible to operate an effective field-based doctoral program in special education administration on a campus even 234 miles from the regular campus if all parties really want to succeed.
