Abstract
Today's increasingly multicultural student population requires that school-community partnerships operate from culturally responsive frameworks. Incorporating significant resources from multicultural communities is an essential component within school-community partnerships. Although such a partnership is an essential strategy, it has not been fully integrated into teacher preparation programs. To this end, colleges and universities have an awesome role to play in reframing content and field experiences to prepare special education teachers and administrators. This article explores the necessity of culturally responsive school-community partnerships for preparing special educators.
