Abstract
Stand-alone worksite health centers, often called onsite health clinics, are fast-growing alternatives for employers, according to many consultant surveys. Midsize and large employers generally implement onsite health and wellness centers with the objective of improving access to health services, cost performance and quality of care outcomes for their health benefit plan investment. This article outlines the range of potential health center models, summarizes important financial considerations and provides examples of key questions for the procurement process to ensure financial and clinical performance.
