The ketogenic diet is increasing in popularity worldwide, as evidenced by this symposium. More child neurologists are prescribing it in more countries. However, the diet is still underutilized, only occasionally rising to the level of “last resort” among treatment options. Though much work remains to be done to make its use more widespread, recent developments provide reason to believe the future is promising.
