When the ‘Case’ Knocks on the Variables’ Door - Some Reminders about the Analysis of Residuals in Statistical Modeling - Modeling methods tend to generate a sociology of variables at the expense of a sociology of individuals. Taking into consideration residuals allows one to come back to the fact that the data collected are individual in nature and thus reintroduce individuals into the analysis.
