Abstract
This investigation compared the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III with the Wide Range Achievement Test-3 for a sample of 60 children and youth who were receiving special education services. Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficients were calculated and an analysis of variance between the scores of the two tests was calculated. The correlations indicated a significant positive relationship between the WISC-III and WRAT-3. The analysis of variance that compared standard scores of the WISC-III and WRAT-3 indicated that significant differences existed between test scores. Implications with respect to the relationship between the tests are discussed.
