This article presents the career/vocational assessment process as a critical component of transition planning. Specifically, we provide an overview of: (a) career/vocational assessment, (b) methods of gathering assessment information, (c) issues to consider, (d) people involved in the assessment process, and (e) recommendations for career/vocational assessment.
