Abstract
This report presents the findings of the International Solid Waste Association's (ISWA) state-of-the-art report on Energy from Waste - Statistics 1993-96, a statistical survey of waste incineration in the member countries of ISWA's Working Group on Thermal Treatment of Waste. The method applied to collect data is described, the data obtained presented and conclusions drawn. Moreover, the paper includes a discussion of recent developments within waste incineration in Europe.
