Abstract
At the Rafael Centre in Prague, group psychotherapy is provided for the families of the holocaust survivors and their family members. Here, the therapists, already well-trained and experienced, acquire special professional experiences and skills in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and how this is transmitted to the second and next generations. It is the conviction of the author of this paper that the knowledge and skills should be made known and passed on to other professionals, for the benefit of people in need. At the Rafael Centre, the main objective is to study and to prevent as efficiently as possible all the negative symptoms and psychological remnants of any totalitarian system which are set out in this article.
